One of the highest resorts in the Alps, snow-sure Cervinia boasts an extremely vast and varied ski area to suit all standards. The majestic Matterhorn, known as the Cervino, towers impressively over Cervinia's spectacular high mountain terrain where slopes are wide with long, flattering runs, ideal for ski-cruising and snowboarding. The resort's main lifts have been efficiently updated for quick access and you can usually ski all the way back to the village even into late spring. Those looking for a change of scenery may buy a pass to explore Zermatt and the more challenging Swiss side of the Matterhorn.
