Resort Information
The typically Italian resort of Pila undeniably has one of the loveliest locations in the Alps, lying in a sunny bowl above the Aosta Valley. The resort enjoys fantastic views of several of Europe's most famous peaks; the Matterhorn, Monte Rosa, Mont Blanc and the Grand St Bernard. The network of blue and red runs means Pila is a perfect choice for the intermediate skier but there are some more challenging runs too from the top of the Couis lifts. A convenient connection to the ancient Roman town of Aosta by gondola, makes Pila an excellent destination for non-skiers too!
· Pila is very Italian and relatively quiet during the week but livens up at the weekend · Gallagher's Irish Pub with a young and lively atmosphere · La Niche disco · Restaurants include La Montanara, excellent for pizzas, and the Chatelaine.
· snow park and half pipe · torchlight descents · ice skating in high season in Pila and all season in nearby Aosta town · snow-shoeing · sauna and solarium
