Bled is set against a stunning mountain backdrop on the edge of a beautiful lake. The 17th Century church, Maria of the Lake, adds to the fairytale atmosphere in this Winter Wonderland. The ski area of Straza* is reached from the centre of Bled by chairlift, whilst the ski areas of Kobla and Vogel are a scenic 20 and 35 minutes' bus ride from Bled. * in use weekday evenings (with a local charge) and weekends only.
