Dominated by the glorious Matterhorn, Zermatt is a lively and sophisticated resort, which centre is entirely car-free, with only electric taxis and horse drawn sleighs and streets packed with beautiful shops and boutiques. You will be offered the possibility to ski on three different areas, one of which links to Cervinia in Italy. Zermatt boasts Europe's highest tree line and provides glorious year round skiing at up to 3899m on one of the largest glaciers in Europe and easily reached by the new gondola. Long runs from the glacier include a 15km piste to resort but wherever you choose to ski, mountain huts offer everything from drinks to gourmet meals.

In the most stunning location below the Gonergat up at 2727m, you can spend an unforgettable night at the Zermatt Igloo Village. The price includes a delicious Gruyère cheese fondue, a nocturnal snowshoe tour, breakfast in the mountain restaurant, whirlpool & all non-alcoholic drinks. Zermatt is a picture postcard resort. The ski school offers full day lessons with lunch included for children aged 6-12 and a ski kindergarten 'Pingu Snow Club' for children aged 4-6 and both can be pre-booked. There are two resort crèches; the 'Petit Cervin' for children aged 2-8, open Mon-Fri 9.00am - 5.00pm (approx Sfr55 per day incl. lunch), and the 'Pumuckel' for children from 2 and a half years run by qualified English speaking Nannies open daily 9.00am - 5.00pm (approx. Sfr90 per day incl. lunch).
